Where projects and videos are saved
Updated 4 November 2026
In short
Make It a Video keeps projects and recordings in its library on your Mac (File › Show Library in Finder) and exports finished MP4s to a folder you choose.
Real app screen: Make It a Video 0.7.25 with sample data.
Projects and recordings stay in the app’s library on your Mac. The editor shows “Saved on this Mac”.
Finished videos are saved to the folder you choose when you export them.
Find your library
Choose File › Show Library in Finder. From the library you can also rename, duplicate or Show in Finder any video, and drag videos in to import them.
Back up
There’s no cloud storage in the beta. Back up your Mac as usual, for example with Time Machine, to keep your projects safe.
