Feature

Stop recording. It’s already tidied.

After you record, Automatic tidy removes the ums, false starts, repeats and long pauses, cleans up the sound and sets the camera layout. You can review every change, or go back to the original at any time.

What it does for you

Cuts the filler

Ums, false starts, repeated phrases and long pauses come out.

Cleans the sound

Your voice is cleaned up so it’s easier to listen to.

Sets the layout

With a camera, it switches between camera and screen scenes for you.

Review

See what was removed and put back anything you want to keep.

Use original

Prefer it untouched? Go back to the original recording any time.

Then edit by the words

Carry on in Script: delete any other words to cut them. Edit by deleting words.

Why it helps

Most of the time spent editing a screen recording goes on the same chores: trimming hesitations, cutting a restart, closing up a long pause while a page loads. Automatic tidy does that first pass for you, so you start editing from a version that already flows.

It works on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded. Always watch the result before you share it, because only you know whether a pause was deliberate.

Questions

Can I undo Automatic tidy?

Yes. Choose Review to put back individual cuts, or Use original to return to the untouched recording.

Does it change my words?

No. It only removes filler, repeats and pauses, and cleans the sound. It never adds or rewrites speech.

Is it free?
